Vehicle Description
Corvettes are cherished and individualized by their owners, and
this 2004 Chevrolet Corvette represents those feelings perfectly.
It's a one-family car with less than 10k on the odometer. And while
quite well preserved, the upgraded blackout style, upgraded power
components, and control of the six-speed make an even more fun
sports car. It makes for an impressive total package offered at a
value price.
A coupe that has averaged only about 550 miles annually will show
signs of proper respect. And that's especially true when it has
stayed with its original family for its life thus far. So the
factory-applied Torch Red has such a deep luster we'll bet it
looked this way the day it left Bowling Green. And the body panels
fit so well that the light rolls off the whole low-slung body with
a slipper-smooth style. It's a terrific sports car style that gets
turned up a notch with a well-coordinated dark side. Deeply tinted
windows, black Corvette badge, blackout rear lights, and black
polished quad exhaust tips make for well-done aggression. And the
black C6-style 20-inch wheels with red inserts and red calipers
behind them are a true masterstroke of cool coordination.
The all-black interior continues the midnight-style intimidation
started by the exterior accents. But with this level of low mileage
and good care, you can also appreciate how well-preserved and
luxurious everything is. The leather bucket seats provide the
perfect balance of sports car bolstering and all-day comfort
padding. This is especially true for your seat which power adjusts
to the ideal driving position. This is loaded with the best
features like a color-matched targa top, dual airbags, power
windows, power locks, anti-theft system, keyless entry, cruise
control, power steering, and dual-zone automatic climate control
(the A/C may need a recharge.) Plus, the stereo has been upgraded
to a modern AM/FM/XM touchscreen unit, and there's also everything
from Bluetooth to subwoofer speakers. This is a true driver's car,
so you have a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tilt/telescopic
steering column, the optional head-up display (HUD), and the
ultra-desirable stick-shift at the center.
As many of you already know, the 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS1 V8
engine is a great power plant. It's quick, powerful, and robust -
exactly what you want in a great Corvette. Plus, these love the
right additions. So this was professionally upgraded with a BTR
camshaft, Kooks headers, and a Corsa exhaust. It makes this C5 more
powerful and gives it a terrific power car exhaust note. And you
are in full control of the power and soundtrack thanks to the
six-speed manual transmission. Add in the four-wheel power disc
brakes, fully independent sports suspension, and grippy ZR-rated
tires, and you just know you'll happily add to the low
odometer.
The sale comes complete with many of the stock components, but
really, we know you don't want to undo all the thoughtful and
powerful upgrading to this well-preserved C5. It makes for a great
car to take to every weekend show and then find the long way home.
