Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present for your consideration this
stunning 1972 Chevrolet C-10. This truck is the recipient of a
frame-off, nut bolt restoration that .took place over a period of
roughly 12 years. The gentleman who has owned it since 1988 worked
in Flint, Michigan at the truck plant and he and his friends from
work spent years of evenings and weekends making this truck as
close to OEM factory original as possible (with just a couple
tasteful changes). It looks like it just came off of a dealership
floor in 1972! From the beginning of his ownership in 88, the
gentleman kept a notebook documenting every expenditure made on the
truck as well as a stack of receipts and a photo album of the
restoration. These items will go with the truck to the next
fortunate owner. This C-10 is finished in Forest Green on the body
and Olive Green on top - both OEM colors. The paintwork is very
nice and professionally done. The silver pinstriping down the sides
makes a nice contrast to the excellent quality body side moldings
running beneath. The glass has all been replaced and is in perfect
shape. In fact, it has all-new glass belt moldings as well as
all-new body rubbers. The bumpers and trim pieces are in
exceptional condition and gleam in the light. The bed features
beautiful upper rails down both sides and a rubber floor liner that
has kept the bed itself in great condition. The Chevrolet logo on
the tailgate is painted the same olive green as the top and makes a
nice contrast. Beneath the tailgate, you'll see the nicely chromed
exhaust tips. This C-10 sits atop 15" chrome "smoothies" wrapped in
Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires. Under the hood is what we believe to
be the original 307ci V-8. The previous owner states that there
have been approximately 20K miles put on the engine since it was
rebuilt. The engine is topped with a 2-barrel carburetor and mated
to a TH350 3-speed automatic with a 12-bolt rear. The engine bay is
clean, tidy, and well-organized. Brakes are manual, dual-reservoir
with discs on the front and drums on the rear. Open the drivers
door to find a spotless OEM-style interior with a beautifully
re-upholstered green cloth and vinyl bench seat with white piping
around the edges. The green carpet is very fresh and matches the
seat well. The black door cards are in overall very good condition
with slight wear on both armrests. The black dash-pad is
crack-free, the dash is stock with clear OEM gauges, and a
Retrosound AM/FM/Cassette stereo with kick-panel speakers has been
added in place of the original radio. The original steering wheel
is free of cracks and is backed up by power steering. The two-speed
wipers work as they should. The underside of the truck has been
paid the same attention as the top - it is clean and rust-free with
stock-style suspension. If you're a fan of originality in your
trucks, you are definitely going to fall in love with this beauty!
You don't have to spend the next ten years of evenings and weekends
restoring a C-10, this one has already been done for you and it's
ready to hit the road to the next car show!
