An extensive restoration
was completed on this gorgeous 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible
with
hidden headlights, painted in dark Burgundy Merlot Metallic
with a white
bucket seat and console interior. This very special true 242 vin
GTO is show quality under the hood and is powered by a built 455
c.i. engine with Ram Air heads, Winters aluminum intake, new chrome
valve covers, Ram Air air cleaner and Ram Air exhaust manifolds. A
Muncie 4 speed transmission shifts power to the Nodular rear with
posi-traction and a 3.55 gear. Equipped with power 4 wheel disc
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors for added stopping power.
Power steering makes cruising easy. The Ram Air hood, hood mounted
tach, hidden headlights, new chrome rear bumper, GTO fluted dual
exhaust tips and excellent stainless trim all add to this goats
muscular good looks. The white power convertible top is like new
and has a glass back window and new top boot. The interior features
white factory bucket seats, center console with Hurst shifter, new
woodgrain trim, Rally clock, new gauges, wood steering wheel, tilt
steering column and new dash pad. The undercarriage has been
painstakingly restored with a smooth, painted frame and floors,
mostly all new suspension and hardware and new dual exhaust with a
great muscle car rumble. This American Dream Machine is rolling on
chrome Rambler wheels and performance tires for drop dead good
looks.
