Vehicle Description
From era-defining tri-fives to world-beating sports cars, Chevrolet
has always delivered approachable, all-American performance. With
that in mind, modification has long been a hallmark of the
Chevrolet brand, and turning a working man's car into a boss icon
is a trick that's almost as old as hot rodding itself. For decades,
southern California has been awash in killer street rods that are
literally rolling pieces of art. Here in the American south, brazen
moonshiners built a racing empire on the backs of upfitted grocery
getters. And in the Midwest, our favorite OEMs are still elevating
corporate powerplants into elite powerhouses. So, when we tell you
this striking Camaro features a roster of choice pro-touring
technology, it shouldn't be a big shock. When we tell you its
storied Chevrolet power is 350 cubic inches of professionally built
small block, it's sure to get your attention. And when you take a
look at some high-resolution photos of what has to be one of the
sharpest American muscle cars on the planet, we're sure you'll be
ready to join the RK Motors family!
STRIKING FORM
The beneficiary of a professional, four-year restoration that's
clean, crisp and ready to roll, this awesome F1 is a thoroughly
modern take on undeniably timeless muscle! That eternal style
shines through glossy Tuxedo Black two-stage that was lifted
straight from The General's 1969 color palette. At the front of
that pigment, fluid Detroit Speed headlights frame a
stainless-trimmed Rally Sport grille, which flies a bright "SS"
emblem between a polished bumper, a Camaro-branded header and
stylish Rally Sport parking lamps. A requisite Cowl Induction Hood
leads the eye to a stainless-trimmed greenhouse that's cleared by
polished wipers and reflected in a polished mirror. A sculpted
profile weaves factory door handles, factory marker lamps and
straight stainless rocker guards into ornate fender badging and
optional quarter louvers. And at the back of the car, a
Camaro-branded decklid tilts a requisite D80 spoiler over Rally
Sport taillights and a second polished bumper.
EASY SPEED
There's just nothing better than an old school V8 with a massive
cam. Tilt this Camaro's hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of
professionally built small block that thumps almost as hard as it
runs! At the top of that mean mill, a Billet Specialties Streamline
air cleaner jambs wind into a bright Holley 4-barrel. That carb,
dressed in braided lines, polished lines and an electric choke,
feeds a polished Edelbrock intake. That intake feeds tough, cast
iron cylinder heads, which stack polished breathers and stylish,
SS-themed valve covers on coated Hooker Competition headers. A hot
PerTronix Flame-Thrower distributor sparks loomed MSD Street Fire
Wires. Billet serpentine components spin an aluminum water pump
between a polished alternator, a polished AC compressor and a
polished power steering pump. Speaking of water, a big Be Cool
radiator circulates coolant around a big electric puller fan. And
overall, the Jet Black beast looks great between a smoothed
firewall and slick, Satin Black fenders.
MODERN PERFORMANCE
Bottom-side, the potent small block spins a dressed 700R4 4-speed,
sourced directly from JEGS, which spins a fresh Ford 9-inch axle.
That pumpkin rolls on a sturdy Detroit Speed QUADRALink suspension.
That clip pushes a Detroit Speed hydroformed front-half. Naturally,
performance is optimized by tubular arms, boxed subframe
connectors, quality mini tubs and modern coil-over-shocks. Turns
come courtesy of athletic power rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are
provided by a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors, which get
clamped by a combination of Baer and GM calipers. Custom exhaust
funnels spent gases through rowdy Flowmaster mufflers. And at the
corners, attractive Foose Legends carry 245/40ZR18 BF Goodrich
g-Force Sports in front of 275/40ZR18 BF Goodrich g-Force
Sports.
TIMELESS STYLE
Swing the doors and you'll find a Standard Black interior that's
clean, comfortable and ready to cruise! That handsome cockpit is
centered on fresh bucket seats that tilt factory headrests over
textured vinyl. At the front of those thrones, a tasteful factory
dash hangs crisp Dakota Digital VHX telemetry next to controls for
modern air conditioning. Standard door panels cage fade-free carpet
around a factory console that's finished with a convenient armrest
and a traditional Horseshoe Shifter. The driver turns an attractive
Chevrolet Rally Wheel around a tilting steering column. And a
modern Alpine head unit jolts an MB Quart amp, MB Quart speakers
and a JL Audio subwoofer to keep the tunes turnt.
Owning a lights-out classic is cool. Owning a lights-out classic
that's been tastefully customized is something few are lucky enough
to experience. Owning a tastefully customized, lights-out classic
that's propelled by one of the best powerplants ever created is the
stuff most gearheads dream about. Don't miss your chance to enjoy
this sweet Camaro pro-tourer!
