We just acquired this car from the gentleman I sold it to over 15
years ago! It has great features including a hot motor, air
conditioning and much more. It was completely restored in 2003.
They started with a clean little old lady's car that was very well
optioned. They ditched the original mechanics and upgraded it with
a pro touring driveline.
EXTERIOR: I am very impressed with the body, i really am. Very
clean, rust free metal. It was restored 19 years ago and there are
no bubbles or damage. It is straight, panels fit right, under the
doors are clean. It has a metal cowl hood and spoilers. The paint
is smooth and glossy. The roof and stripes are painted a dark
Emerald Green metallic. The trim and chrome all show very well. It
has an original Chevy locking gas cap. Custom tri-bar headlights
and blue dots in the taillights. It rolls on chrome rally
wheels.
INTERIOR: Overall very clean, unabused condition. Door panels,
headliner, rear seat and carpet look good. Custom sport seats in
front with racing sest belts will hold you in place. Rare fold down
rear seat. The dash area is very good, fits nice, not cut or
broken. Upgrades include a retro stereo and 4 speakers, embroidered
mats, tachometer and gauges, walnut wheel and a B&M shifter.
Interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a genuine GM crate motor, the tag is
still attached. It has 4 bolt mains, forged steel crank, HD rods,
aluminum pistons, roller cam, fast burn aluminum heads, roller
rockers. On top is a polished aluminum intake, dual feed Holley
carb with electric choke, HEI ignition and a nice set of cast
aluminum valve covers. The front of the motor has a polished water
pump, serpentine belt, aluminum pulleys and brackets, polished
alternator and a/c compressor. Modern heat and air conditioning
system. It runs cool with a BeCool aluminum radiator, stainless
hoses, electric fan and aluminum overflow bottle. There is a remote
vacuum can to compensate for the hot cam. It features power
steering and brakes. Plenty of polished parts!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid metal. Under the trunk lid is
original paint! It has a trunk mat and matching tire cover over the
spare. It also has a couple bonuses- car covers, show signs and
1967 license plates.
UNDERSIDE: At the time of restoration the suspension and steering
were completely rebuilt. It was upgraded with swaybars front and
back, frame connectors and Edelbrock gas shocks. The shocks and
front springs look recent. It was upgraded with disc brakes at all
4 wheels, e-brake is hooked up. It has a custom dual exhaust with
crossover pipe, welded joints, and quad tips. Bottom of the motor
is clean, has a high torque starter. The GM part number/spec tag is
still attached to the side of the block. Upgraded 700R-4 overdrive
automatic trans, rebuilt driveshaft. In back is a 3.73 posi with an
aluminum cover. The underbody appears to have very clean original
metal.
This Camaro has a lot to offer. It is a runner! Plenty of power,
handles great, stops straight. It sounds good, looks good.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
