Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1946 Mercury Coupe. This original
Carolinas car is dark red with a Chevy 350CI with 350 TCI automatic
transmission with Lokar shift. Engine is a Jasper rebult engine
with aluminum radiator, MSD ingnition and about 22K miles since
installed. Engine was built as close to race-ready and with a few
more components can be ready to go. Paint is in overall very good
condtion with some imperfections and scratches as shown. Tasteful
pinstriping all around. All panels line up nicely and new running
boards were built by Peps of Hanson, MA. Lots of new chrome front
and rear including bumpers and Grille with some of the original
chrome remaining. All the stainless trim is intact and in very good
condition. Car features a Cadillac front and rear-end, Airbags in
the rear, New wiring harness and American Auto wiring system
relocated along with the battery which has a shut-off in the trunk.
Cyberdyne digital dash, tilt steering, power windows, power vent,
new electric wipers with motor mounted in the glove box, SunPro
Tachometer and Pioneer 4 Speaker stereo system. Car is equipped
with everything necessary for air conditioning but it is not
currently functioning. Interior of the car is in very nice condtion
with full dash with chrome accents in excellend condition, black
velour Dodge Dakota bucket seats front and rear in excellent
condition and beautiful headliner in great condition. The entire
interior and trunk compartment have been treated with Sound
Deadening Material for a comfortable and noise-limited driving.
Trunk compartment is very clean as well as the undercarriage which
features dual exhast exiting with chrome pipes in the rear. 3rd and
4th brake lights added for safety. Car rides on BF Goodrich Radial
TA tires mounted on Cragar wheels with powder coated drums behind.
Some minor body filler and cracking along the corner of the
passenger door as shown. Some pixelation in the digital dash. Car
runs, drives and handles very well. Not a show car but a very nice
Turn-key Mercury that has been well maintained and enjoyed by the
owner for 25 years. Comes with some documentation, some extra parts
and receipts for work performed on the car. Clean MA title. Give
