For Sale: 1974 Ford F100 in Kentwood, Michigan

Vehicle Description

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1974 Ford F100 for your consideration. Decoding the
VIN (warranty) tag tells us that this truck came equipped with a 390ci V8 motor mated to a Ford
3-speed automatic transmission. Originally built in the Twin Cities plant, this truck spent the
majority of its life in Texas before being brought to Michigan twelve years ago by the selling
owner. The selling owner also states that they recently pulled the truck from storage and
thoroughly serviced the vehicle. A new fuel pump, starter, battery, fluids, and remanufactured
carburetor were installed. It is super solid from top to bottom and features the original paint with
a patina from the Texas sun. The previous owner (prior to the selling owner) notes that the miles
are original but that cannot be one hundred percent verified.
As previously mentioned, the exterior sports the original color of Dark Blue Metallic which now
has a beautiful patina. Setting this example apart from the standard F100 is the Explorer
package which included the addition of a paint stripe, stainless trim and mirrors, and "Mag-Look"
wheel covers. Like the exterior, the interior has been left original with the exception of the seat
cover. The original Philco radio is still mounted to the dash and all gauges work as expected.
Included with the F100 is the original Owner's Manual.
The Ford F100 was known for reliability and ruggedness and was an integral part of American
history. Their timeless design, style, and utilitarian nature make them useful classics to own and
care for and they represent the American dream for many as they were used by many
businesses and workers at a time considered great by many. The sixth generation F-series was
introduced in 1973. This version of the F-series continued to be built on the 1965 fourth
generation's revised platform, but with significant modernizations and refinements. Front disc
brakes, increased cabin dimensions, gas tank relocated outside the cab and under the bed,
significantly improved heating and air conditioning, full double wall bed construction, increased
use of galvanized steel, and SuperCab all were introduced in the sixth generation pickup.
Classic Ford 4X4 pickups are red hot in today's collector car and 4x4 market. This truck looks
and is tough and is a must-have for any collector or enthusiast. Please call or email with any
questions or for additional information.
