Over $80k Invested There are always folks who have a need for
speed, however they can get it. Fast motorcycles, fast boats, fast
cars, they can't get enough. If that describes you, this Camaro may
interest you. It's obviously a clean car that has a mean look, but
it's also a car that packs a whole lot of power thanks to a
professional build. This is a one owner Camaro that has a few
quarter mile passes under its belt and can be competitive in
classes with other doorslammer cars at the drag strip. The Camaro
SS has never been a car that goes down the road unnoticed. A
sinister looking car like this Camaro is surely not a car that will
go unnoticed. You can feel its presence especially when the LSX
engine is running - your bones vibrate, goosebumps may appear, and
your ears eat up the sound that it makes. When we see cars like
this, which have been professionally custom built using fine
components, and hours and hours have gone into the build, we want
to learn every detail about it. We can give you a nice synopsis
here. As you can see in our photos, it's immediately obvious that
the car has been modified and looks much tougher than a stock 5th
Generation SS Camaro. The first item that gives this car such a
menacing look is the carbon fiber hood, which has a large cowl.
Carbon fiber mirrors, and a de-badged carbon fiber trunk lid with a
matching carbon fiber spoiler add to the aggressive looks. A slight
forward rake shows that this car means business. 5-spoke Weld
Racing wheels are sized 18 front and 17 in the rear. The rear tires
are beadlock 305/40 Mickey Thompson street tires, while the front
tires are 28x6 Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires. At first glance,
since the interior is so nicely built, it looks to be left in
mostly stock form. A close look reveals a number of custom
components which have been neatly integrated. Custom Corbeau race
seats, a 1 ... chromoly fully welded roll cage, deleted rear
seat, and an M&M valve body shifter are a few notable items.
M&M claims to build the best doorslammer shifters, and with the
engine and transmission pairing in this car, an M&M shifter is
a great choice. Getting down to the nitty gritty of what's under
the hood, the engine is a Chevy Performance crate engine. (LSX
Series Gen 4, LSX376-B15) The block and heads have not been
modified at all since the engine was installed, due to the fact
that it is an incredible powerplant right from Chevrolet
Performance. However, a number of choice components were added to
create an estimated 800 rear wheel horsepower/1,000 crank
horsepower. A few engine highlights are; forged aluminum pistons,
forged connecting rods, hydraulic roller camshaft, Procharger F1-A
supercharger, air to air intercooler, custom intake/intercooler
tubing, Frankenstein engine dynamics billet low profile intake
manifold, and a DeWitts aluminum radiator. The engine is tuned to
run on the streets on pump 93 octane gasoline, and race on E85. A
triple pump system with Frankenstein fuel rails provides fuel to
the engine. (123lb/hr @ 43 psi.) A Coan TH400 transmission handles
gear selection, which includes a trans brake. The suspension
includes a GForce 9 IRS kit, heavy duty front mount, solid aluminum
or poly bushings, one piece CNC machined outer hubs, BMR drag race
suspension package, BMR extreme anti-roll bar kit, Strange double
adjustable rear coilovers, and Pedders single adjustable front
coilovers. The exhaust system is a custom 3 system with stainless
steel headers, 2 primaries, magnaflow mufflers, and is V-Banded at
the headers an
