This DeSoto was an early production model built at the Detroit, MI plant. The original engine starts very easy, runs very well, idles smooth, and makes very good power for a car of this year. The transmission operates well at all speeds. All working gauges, headlights, dash lights, map light, trunk light, back up lights, tag light, directional signals, etc. Doors open and close nicely with a thud. The car drives as close to a new one as you will hope to find. No extra play in the steering, no vibration noises, or anything of that sort. VERY easy to steer and stop with almost no effort. Recent work includes a full tune up, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new wiring harness, new shocks, new brakes and master cylinder, oil pan gasket, and wide white wall radial tires.
