Vehicle Original VIN : FK10011232
Garrett Classics is happy to present this very cool little Figaro.
The Nissan Figaro is a front engine, front wheel drive, two door, 2+2, fixed profile convertible manufactured by Nissan for one year only, in 1991. It was marketed in Japan.
There were a total of 20,073 produced and all had right hand drive and were automatics.
They are all powered by a 1.0 Liter (987 cc) turbocharged engine generating 76 PS and 78lb.ft. of torque through their three-speed automatic transmissions. They have front MacPherson struts, rear four-link coil spring suspension, rack and pinion steering, front ventilated disc brakes and rear drums.
These little cars can actually reach speeds of 106mph. The front fenders are thermoplastic to save weight.
Standard equipment included:
Ivory leather seats
Air Conditioning( Working very well)
Chrome and Bakelight- style knobs
Chrome trimmed speedometer w/smaller inset gauges
Chrome trimmed tach w/inset clock
The original paint came in 4 colors only. They represented the four seasons. There was Topaz Mist( Autumn), Emerald Green(Spring), Pale Aqua(Summer), and Lapis Grey(Winter).
The paint is very good on this car. There are a few little flaws which we show in our photos. The interior is also very nice with some wear in places but it appears to be all original. The odometer shows Kilometers, but it translates to 114741 miles.
This model was obviously repainted to this dark purple metallic with a chameleon type finish that takes on different shades in the sun.
They all also had the fixed profile convertible top. This means that the sides of the roof stay up and just the center of the top retracts back into a rear compartment. This is very similar to the Fiat 500.
This particular model runs great. The a/c is working and everything else seems to be working except for the radio. We could not get that to work. The CD player does however.
This is such a fun little car to drive. It also is quite surprising how much leg room there is inside. I read on a blog that a gentleman and his wife went to look at one and he was 6'4" and actually had no problem fitting inside. His only reason for not buying it was that they had no place to put it.
*This is an original import vehicle with less than 17 digits in the vin, so ebay overrides the vin in the ad. The actual VIN# which we show a photo of is FK10011232
