This is the actual picture car that was used in the 1996 movie "Swingers" starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau. A Film that re-popularized Swing Dance in the late 90s.
Previously owner includes Jon Favreau during and after the picture was filmed.
V8 260 CID original engine 3 speed manual gearbox floor shifter (originally was a 3 on column shift from factory) F Code factory Caliente with all the upgrades.
Black vinyl Bucket Seats with center console, Caliente vinyl wood grain interior accents on dash and door panels.
Power Convertible top goes up and down nicely. White vinyl top is in good condition.
Power Steering, Power drum brakes, easy to drive and comfortable. All lights, turn signals and brake light are functional. Speedometer, wipers and fuel gauge work.
Glove box mounted after market Stereo with rear trunk mounted amp and speakers.
This Comet is sporting its original burgundy color. This is the 1st year for the Comet Caliente model with the Lincoln inspired front grill. Very original Comet with patina and character for days. Very stylish for 1964 and still holds your eye today going down the road. Only 9,039 of this convertible model with this Caliente trim were produced by Mercury in 1964.
Drivers side rear Quarter Molding/Trim pieces plus 2 rear trim pieces that attach just above bumper are included with this Comet Caliente. Rust free floor and trunk pans.
Folder of Documentation including studio parking pass, Maintanice records, receipts and letters of identification and authentication pass to the next owner.

Also included are certified California DMV records stating previous owner as Jon Favreau from 1995 -1997.
This car spent previous time in Arizona and prior to that was exclusively driven in Los Angeles and Southern California.

Disclosures:
Carburetor has a fuel leak that will require attention. Body and paint have imperfections, dings, scratches, cracks and surface rust as well as touch ups. Water temperature gauge, horn and factory radio are non operational. Heater, fan and E-Brake are non operational.
