Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present our latest arrival - this
awesome 1973 Dodge Challenger! All of you MOPAR fans are really
going to like this one! This beauty is all-original sheet metal,
never been cut on, and it's dressed in stunning Citron Yellow. The
paint is glossy, smooth and looks great with the original black
vinyl top, black 1971 R/T graphics, and optional black "Go-Wing" on
the rear. This Challenger is an original Rallye package car and
features the Rallye fender louvers. Walking around the car you'll
notice the dual, painted sport mirrors, flip-top gas cap, factory
rear-mounted antenna, and excellent chrome trim. It sits
aggressively atop Wheel Vintages steel wheels painted to match the
exterior and capped off with 70-71 OEM style Dodge hubcaps. The
wheels are wrapped in brand new BF Goodrich Radial tires and the
rear springs have been relocated to allow for even larger wheels
tires if desired. Things get even more impressive when you open the
hood! The engine bay features a 1968 440ci block with 906 heads
(slightly ported), a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock
Performer RPM intake manifold, Mopar electronic ignition, and a
Mopar Performance "Magnum" restoration camshaft. Not only does this
power plant perform great, it sounds incredible thanks to a new set
of coated Headman headers running through 2.5" exhaust to
Flowmaster mufflers and topped off with factory exhaust tips. All
this power needs the proper driveline to hit the road, and again,
you won't be disappointed. The Chrysler 3-speed TorqueFlite
automatic mated to an 8 3/4" rear axle with sure-grip posi-traction
and new 3:55 rear gears certainly gets the job done, and then some.
While it's fun to go fast, you need to slow down at some point and
that's no problem at all for the power brakes with discs on the
front and drums to the rear. Open the driver's door and slide into
the comfortable vinyl bucket seat to find even more Mopar goodness!
The first thing you're likely to notice is the center console with
Slap-Stick shifter. The excitement doesn't end there though, you'll
also find factory ice-cold A/C courtesy of an upgraded Sanden
compressor, power steering, an optional "Tuff" steering wheel, and
full Rallye dash instrumentation with an 8K RPM tachometer. The
black carpet looks fresh and is accented by custom Challenger floor
mats. The headliner is nice and tight, and while you're looking up
you'll see the shoulder restraint belts. The door panels are in
excellent condition and the wood-grain insets really make them pop.
Other interior amenities include 2-speed wipers, driver's side
interior side mirror control, working horn and dome light, a nice
sounding Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo, and even a working clock. Whether
you love Mopars or just American muscle in general, this 73
Challenger is the total package and definitely not to be
missed!
