matching 1969 Corvette Stingray Coupe in fantastic condition and
only 55,335 original miles. The car is very original and
unmolested. This Corvette looks absolutely amazing in Riverside
Gold with goldline tires and P02 deluxe wheel covers. The Riverside
Gold (980) over Saddle Vinyl (420) color combination is highly
desirable and truly striking on this Corvette body style. This is
also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes
on the trim tag, which is pictured in this ad. Besides the P02
wheel covers this Corvette is absolutely loaded with sought-after
options such as air conditioning, automatic transmission, and power
steering. I have personally driven this Stingray about ten miles
and during that time the car was completely reliable with no
problems and a true pleasure to drive. The very low original
mileage is verified no only by the condition of the car, but also
the clear Ohio title, picoted in this ad, that shows the mileage as
Actual.
Beside the correct paint and trim codes, this Corvette is
completely "Numbers Matching" and virtually every part we checked
on the car is correct with the proper part numbers and appropriate
date codes. We have run the numbers on literally hundreds of
Corvettes over the years and there are very few that are so correct
and original, this is especially true for the earlier "chrome
bumper" C3 Corvettes. Even very detailed parts like the carburetor,
distributor, starter, alternator, intake manifold, exhaust
manifolds, all of the wheels, and even all of the glass all correct
and original. The last six digits of the VIN, 735388, are stamped
on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the engine is
original to the car. The transmission is also original with the
last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and
pictured.

the purchase price in years to come as the market on C3 "chrome
bumper" Corvettes from 1968 to 1972 is absolutely red hot right now

Exterior
The Riverside Gold (980) exterior is in good driver condition. As
one can see in the photos the finish has nice gloss and shines well
with a smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely. The chrome
and other bright looks great overall with and a brilliant finish.
The P02 deluxe wheels are in excellent condition with a nice finish
and no major curb rash. The BF Goodrich Silverstone Goldline Radial
tires look almost brand new with 95% tread left. There are no major
imperfections that have been excluded from the photos. As one would
expect with a paint job with this many years on it the paint is
showing its age. There are some tiny touch-ups, cracks, thin spots,
and other minor blemishes around car that were too small to show up
in pictures, but nothing else that is really noticeable from about
five or ten feet away. The paint overall has a nice patina and we
would suggest any perspective buyer look at the car in person to
get the best view of how this car looks. As one can see in the many
photos of the underside this car is very clean underneath and has
no rust issues. The frame is totally solid around the "key hole"
area in front of the rear tire and we have seen no evidence of
corrosion around the windshield or "birdcage" area, which is the
most common spots for rust on a C3 Corvette. We have included
specific photos of the areas most prone to rust to show how nice
this car looks.
Window Date Codes
Please note that ALL of the glass on this Corvette is date coded
and original, the windshield, both "Astro Ventilation" side
windows, and even the pop out rear window all predate the car's
body build date of November 12, 1969 (P12). Original glass is a
good indication that this car has had no major accident history and
never sustained significant damage.
Interior
The Saddle Vinyl (420) interior of the Corvette is in outstanding
original condition. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the
lenses are clear. The dash looks great with no cracks, fading, or
sun damage. The door panels are in excellent condition overall;
there are no cracks in the typical area where the driver's elbow
would sit. Unlike many of the Corvettes from this era the door
panel fit well and tight to the door.. The seats look just as good
in person as they do in the photos. There is one spot of wear on
the driver's seat bottom and minimal wear in the typical area on
the bolster where the driver gets in and out. Please note that
these appear to be the original seats and skins, not some cheap
aftermarket covers or replacements. The carpet is in also in great
condition with no stains, rips, or holes. This includes the rear
carpet, which is often neglected. The console looks nice overall,
there is one small crack in the parking brake console. The original
radio works well and gets good reception. Most importantly the dash
has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation.
Please note that both seat belts work and retract properly. This is
a common problem on C3 Corvettes and an issue many buyers do not
think to check. The original jack and jack handle are still with
the car stored correctly in the storage compartment behind the
passenger seat. The spare is also still with the car. This Corvette
has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of
cigarettes. The T-Tops bags and original owner's manual are also
included with the car.
Corvette interiors from this era are not known to wear well and the
excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament
to the meticulous care and attention this car has received
throughout its life and another great verification of the very low
original mileage.
Mechanical
This Corvette seems to be in very good mechanical condition. As
stated above I have driven this car about ten miles with no issues.
The original numbers matching engine starts right away every time,
runs well, and idles smooth. When the car is first started cold it
properly goes into high idle then when the driver taps the throttle
the engine goes into low idle just as it should. The car drives
great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the
video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up
to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to
stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there
are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well
overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or
the other. The transmission shift well throughout the power band.
