This 1932 Ford custom roadster is a frame-off custom build by
Creative Customs in Spartanburg, SC. Features custom suspension,
Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and staggered vintage Halibrand wheels.
With a new Rat's Glass custom '32 Ford body mounted to a Bobby
Alloway custom frame, it is powered by a modern Chevrolet LS1 crate
engine and includes a custom leather interior with new Classic
Instruments gauges and a level of detail that requires multiple
looks to fully comprehend. This roadster is painted with a PPG
slick black base coat/clear coat paint with the traditional-style
custom flames added. At the front of the car, a Dan Fink custom
grille aligns between modern, tri-bar headlights. Behind the
grille, a 3-piece Rootlieb metal hood flows to a classy Duvall
windshield filled with smoked glass. A simple profile presents
shaved doors with poppers, hidden hinges and, at the back of that
profile, a power-lift decklid that rides above smoked and smoothed
custom LED taillights and a drop-down plate holder. Lift this car's
steel hood and you'll find a new crate GM LS1 V8 engine, utilizing
aluminum construction, flat-top pistons and coil-near-plug
ignition, conservatively rated at 345hp and 350 ft/lbs of torque. A
Bobby Alloway chassis cradles a GM 4L60E 4-speed automatic
transmission that was factory-engineered to live behind the LS1. At
the front of that gearbox, a chromed 4-bar suspension hangs modern
Aldan coilovers between Super Bell spindles. At the back of that
gearbox, another chromed 4-link suspension hangs an aluminum-cased
Currie 9-inch rear end, a limited-slip differential and big 4.10
gears between fresh Pete & Jake's coilovers. Stopping power is
provided by polished Wilwood calipers with four drilled and slotted
rotors. This car also features high-quality detailing, with
stainless-steel fluid lines, a finned transmission cooler and a
polished flywheel cover. Inside this street rod you'll find a
stunning leather interior installed by well-known customizer Chuck
Hanna Interiors and HRI Hot Rod Interiors by Chuck. Below that
seat, clean carpet anchors and color-keyed floor mats sit between a
familiar Lokar shifter and precise Lokar foot pedals. In front of
that seat, a body-matched dash sandwiches a tan leather instrument
panel between a recessed Panasonic CD player and Classic
Instruments gauges. A polished steering wheel establishes the
layering theme for the door panels. Behind the passengers, the
car's upholstered trunk has an Alpine amp and fuel filler below a
trick billet hinge.
