The Thunderbird was ordered with a number of options including a 312CI V8 engine, Ford automatic transmission, power windows and power seat, power brakes and steering and a tachometer, radio and clock. The car has it's original continental kit. A modern air conditioning unit was added some years ago (needed in this Mississippi heat!). the car has both hard and soft tops. Everything works - lights, blinkers, radio, A/C, horns - everything. The car cranks, starts, shifts, drives, stops in an excellent manner. The upholstery is in good shape as is shown by the photos. The car has had one repaint some years ago done by the best body shop in Mississippi. The paint is excellent. The car is a real time capsule.
The car has been garaged its entire life. It has been sparingly used and has only approximately 41700 miles on the odometer. The car is maintained by the owner's estate manager. the car is driven weekly on the 1.5 mile driveway on the property. Both ways equal 3 miles and the car is exercised in this manner weekly without fail.
