For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Rogers, Minnesota

Vehicle Description

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air "Fuelie" Convertible is a nicely restored, fuel-injected Tri-Five convertible with some very nice options. Chevrolet produced some of its most iconic passenger cars of all time during during a span of 3 years, 1955, 1956, and 1957, which has become known as the Tri-Five era. Perhaps the most recognizable and quintessential Tri-Five Chevy was the 1957 Bel Air which was the final year. The '57 Bel Air underwent a significant stylistic redesign from the previous 2 years. Of course, the most identifiable change for the 1957 model year was the addition of the large fins protruding from the rear quarter panels that give the Bel Air a truly classic 50s look. Additionally, Chevrolet made a number of other revisions such as tweaking the look on the front ends, with a totally new looking grille and bumper layout as well as an even flatter hood with dual wind splits. To differentiate from the lower-end 150 and 210 models, the Bel Air trim featured an elevated gold anodized "V" emblem on the front of the hood with matching trim in the three small indentations located on the front quarter panels behind the headlights along with a matching gold "V" emblem and gold "Bel Air" script on the trunk. The other major upgrade in 1957 was that Chevrolet also began to offer new and more powerful engine options on its top-of-the-line Bel Air series and most notable was its Fuel Injected 283 V8. Utilizing a Rochester mechanical Fuel Injection system, the "Fuelie" 283 V8s were way ahead of their time and were among the first mass-produced American made cars with this type of technology. Under the hood on this Tri-Five Chevy is a 283 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with a Rochester Fuel Injection unit. The 283 V8 is backed by a Powerglide Automatic tranmission ensuring that anybody can take this "Fuelie" for a spin around the block. Exhaust exits the Fuel Injected 283 V8 via a dual exhaust setup that gives this Bel Air Convertible a nice throaty sound. This 1957 Bel Air is loaded with options! With power steering, manuvering this 57 Chevy in and out of tight spaces at car shows is a total breeze and improves the overall driving experience. The white vinyl power convertible top is in fantastic condition and goes up and down with the simple pull or push of a button mounted neatly under the dash. When down, the power convertible top tucks beneath a red vinyl boot that matches the overall look of the car. All 4 windows are powered and they work great and are in wonderful shape. The front bench seat is powered as well, simplifying the process of adjusting the seat to your preference. Riding on a set of wide whitewall tires that are paired with spinner-style wheel covers, this 1957 Chevy Bel Air has a truly classic look. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this Bel Air is in wonderful condition. The rear-mounted continental kit, along with removable rear fender skirts, adds to the classic 50s appearance of this Chevrolet as well. The exterior of this Chevrolet Bel Air has been refinished in beautiful Matador Red, just as it came back in 1957. The interior on this Bel Air Convertible is absolutely stunning! The powered front bench seat and rear bench have been correctly reupholstered in Red and Silver vinyl. The red painted dash, Red & Silver vinyl door panels, red carpeting, and steering wheel are all in superb shape and appear to be in their stock configuration. The dash is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge, along with an AM radio and clock. Whether you're buying your first classic car or you're adding to your existing Chevy collection, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible would make an excellent addition. Give us a call today!
