This is why it was called the fabulous fifties; cars had style!
This convertible really makes a statement. It won't go unnoticed
anywhere you take it.
EXTERIOR: It shows really well. The body is straight, lines up nice
and doesn't show any rust. Painted fender skirts are included.
Beautiful 2 tone colors are polished smooth and glossy. Overall the
chrome and trim is straight and shiny. Extras include a continental
kit, rocker trim, stone shields and dual mirrors. Fat white walls
wrap around 4 bar spinner hubcaps. The white convertible power top
is in great shape.
INTERIOR: Sharp looking 2 tone interior restored to original
condition. The seats are reupholstered, door panels were replaced.
The metal trim was repainted. Nice looking dash area. The
instrument numbers are same color as the car, cool. Interior lights
work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the 312 motor with a 4 barrel carb. The
carburetor looks like it's been rebuilt. The motor is clean and
stock. Original valve covers, air cleaner and manifolds. Features
include power steering, power brakes and a windshield washer
system. The engine bay is clean overall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a clean appearance. New well liner. The
floor liner is good. It has a jack, the spare tire is in the
continental kit.
UNDERSIDE: The floors appear to be very clean rust free metal.
They've been prepped and painted black. The chassis has also been
cleaned and painted black. The front-end components look good. It
has dual exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers. The fuel tank has been
replaced. Bottom of the motor looks clean. We just had the
Merc-o-matic professionally rebuilt, over $3,000. The drive shaft
was rebuilt.
To buy a car that makes a statement these days will typically cost
well over $100,000. This one is about half that price and will turn
heads everywhere you drive it.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
