rare 268 8 cylinder 2 Door Deluxe Convertible in a beautiful and
extraordinarily striking repaint in period correct 'Sant Fe Red'
color and with an absolutely beautiful all new 'Red amp; Gray'

'Rockhound collection', the car has very good gaps and flush
fitting doors, the hood and trunk and the floor boards, rockers and
all the typical rust-prone areas are original, solid and rust-free
- obviously an always cherished 'Garage Queen' since new. All the
original chrome is beautiful and the car boasts its original spare
wheel in the trunk. A largely original car, this 2 Door Chieftain
Deluxe Convertible has been repainted in authentic period correct
'Santa Fe Red', which harmonizes nicely with the reupholstered Red
and Gray seats. The power-operated convertible top is light tan and
comes with a matching boot cover for when it is in the down
position. Equipped with the smooth and powerful 268 eight-cylinder
engine that is backed by a Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The
engine and its compartment are clean and correctly detailed. Other
benefits that add to one's driving pleasure are the original AM
radio, defroster, and pull-to-initiate overdrive system which
allows for highway speeds to be reached.The 8 cylinder engine and
the 'Hydramatic' automatic transmission run beautifully and the
engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely
magnificent - must be driven to be fully appreciated. The
transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car is an
absolute pleasure to drive. The Rockhound Collection took ownership
in the middle part of 2010 and has since maintained it in its
museum-like setting and regularly exercised it to ensure the
mechanics stayed up to date. This rare straight-eight Pontiac shows
just some 70,400 miles on it, although it is not documented. It
would be a beautiful complement to a collection of American icons,
and as one of only a few known restored examples; it will be
