91 Vw cabriolet Etienne Aigner Edition 5 speed manual transmission. Rare edition made for the German market with only 1,500 imported to the US. New German cloth top and insulation. Original interior is very clean with original floor mats. Just under 95,000 original miles. I’ve only put 9,000 miles on it since I purchased 5 years ago.
Repairs in past 5 years listed most recent to earliest:
New gear shift linkages, water pump, timing belt, valve cover gasket, driver and passenger axles along with axle flange oil seals, front and rear brakes, plugs, wires, distributor cap, new front and rear suspension along with bushings, upgraded LED interior dash lights, radio, speakers, MAF sensor, middle exhaust pipes, new original German cloth top which was original for this special edition(not vinyl), new top cables, new top insulation. Other repairs right before I purchased the car according to originals owner are the clutch, all 3 motor mounts and radiator which would have been around 86,000 miles.
It has never been driven in the snow or salted roads by previous owner nor myself so no rust. Everything operates as it should. Very clean, rare VW Cabriolet.
This little car turns heads all the time. I’ve been a little reluctant to sell because these old VWs continue to gain a larger fallowing and values continue to rise. I have too many other cars and projects cluttering the garage and driveway which is why I am selling.
