Finished 2 years ago and only 2,612 miles since completed. It's a
premium Factory Five kit and all new parts were used. The motor,
trans and rear were rebuilt. This is the first Cobra i have seen
with air conditioning! An in depth independent 7 page
inspection/appraisal is included. It also has a build book with the
specs and info.
EXTERIOR: Hand laid composite body was blocked smooth. It has a
complete body wrap in satin blue. Over the top white stripes.
Features include bumpers, wing windows, pop up gas cap and dual 3
point roll bars. Original style Halibrand wheels with knock off
spinners and wrapped in Cobra tires. Reproduction Lucas lights, LED
headlights. A new black convertible top and side curtain windows
are included.
INTERIOR: The Racing style bucket seats are upholstered in leather
with embroidered Cobras. The Simpson harness will keep you securely
fastened. There is a complete set of Auto Meter gauges. I
especially like the Shelby shift knob and wood rim wheel. This one
also has interior lights and ax12 volt receptacle.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Complete performance rebuild. It is making
about 400 hp and 375 lbs of torque, dyno sheet is included. Started
with a 302 short block and it has all new parts- pistons,
crankshaft rods etc. It has a Comp roller cam, roller rockers, high
volume oil pump, double roller timing chain and ARP bolts. On top
is an Edelbrock intake, American Roadster self tuning fuel
injection, 30 lb injectors, 70 mm Mass Air Flow and Edelbrock fuel
rails. It has Ford Racing distributor and 8mm wires. A set of
headers feed the side exhaust. It runs cool with a high flow
aluminum Ron Davis radiator with dual electric fans and a billet
overflow bottle. Here is something I've never seen before on a
Cobra- air conditioning and heat!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been lined with carpet. The battery is in
a battery box. There is an emergency fuel cut off. There is a Cobra
pouch for the lead hammer used to remove the knock offs.
UNDERSIDE: Ford Racing powder coated full tube space frame. Factory
Five independent suspension front and back. Upfront it has tubular
control arms, coilover gas adjustable shocks, swaybar, rack &
pinion steering. It also has independent rear suspension with a 3
link set up, tubular control arms. coilover gas adjustable shocks,
panhard bar and swaybar. Mustang Cobra 4 wheel disc brakes with
drilled and slotted rotors and an e-brake system. New fuel system.
Looking up at the motor it has a cadmium plated extra capacity oil
pan, remote oil filter and a high torque starter. Quick Time bell
housing, Centerforce clutch and a T5 5-speed trans. 8.8 inch rear
with traction lock gears. All aluminum floors. It still looks
practically new.
Of all the cars I've driven there is nothing as exhilarating as a
Cobra. The go cart like handling, the roar of the pipes, the wind
blowing against your skin and of course a power to weight ratio
that's impressive!
