Chrysler Le Baron Marc Cross Convertible, similar to the one in the
movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Only 1,105 of these cars were
made this year. This car is in very good condition much nicer than
most you will find out there all original for sale and has only
40000 original miles. This car is a "Town and Country" package car
with the "Mark Cross Special Edition" interior. The Town and
Country package consisted of marine-grade simulated teak wood on
the sides of the Lebaron - making it resemble the Town and Country
"woodies" built by Chrysler in the late 1940s and 50s. As for the
"Mark Cross Edition" interior, Mark Cross is an American designer
label dating back to 1845; the company used their forte of high-end
leather products to craft a rich-looking interior. 1984 was the
second year of the Chrysler Lebaron, which was built on the famous
K-car platform. This highly successful group of cars produced from
1981 to 1995 are widely credited to have saved Chrysler from
bankruptcy. If you are in the market for a car like this, you won't
be disappointed in this one. The ragtop Town & Country differed
from the normal LeBaron convertible in wood-look plastic side trim
(shared with a T&C wagon); the Mark Cross added lush hide
upholstery adorned with the leathermaker's logos. A special Town
and Country convertible was also made from 1983 to 1986 in limited
quantities (1,105 total), which like the wagon featured simulated
wood paneling that made it resemble the original 1940s Town and
Country. This model was part of the well-equipped Mark Cross option
package for the latter years. Unchanged up front, all '84 LeBarons
featured a revised rear end with new wraparound taillights of a
taller design featuring horizontal trim strips. Steering wheels
were redesigned to feature two wider, more padded spokes. Only
