This 1979 GMC K1500 Sierra Classic is a Canadian-market example powered by a stroked 396ci small-block V8 mated to 4L80E automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A refurbishment reportedly completed in 2012 included a repaint in two-tone black and gray along with powder-coating the frame in black, and the truck was subsequently acquired by the seller in 2020. Features include a dual exhaust system, 15″ steel wheels with 33″ BFGoodrich tires, a sliding glass rear window, a Compushift CSII transmission controller, and a Forever Sharp steering wheel. A tune-up is said to have been performed in anticipation of the sale. This K1500 is now offered in Canada with a binder documenting the refurbishment and British Columbia registration.

The small-block V8 was reportedly stroked to 396ci and features an Edelbrock air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and a Compushift CSII controller. Power is routed through a 4L80E automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The chassis is said to have been stripped and powder-coated in black during the restoration in 2012.
