This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette is quite a uniquely upgraded machine.
It has a fresher crate V8, fuel injection, and one of the coolest
colors of its year. So if you're looking for a powerful and
distinctive driver, this is your Stingray.
Steel Cities Gray is a cool name to say and an even cooler color to
see on your classic. This was one of the few years that the factory
offered it, and so upgrading the color on this one still looks
natural. And we covet the '72 because it was the last year for the
chrome bumper package. So the paint makes the body look like steel,
and it's the last time for the full metal bumpers...that's quite
cool. Good body lines, polished rockers, and proper Rally wheels
make for a nice classic. And there are even subtle performance
style upgrades like the LT1 hood and quad exhaust tips.
The black interior has a tasteful look against the gray paint, so
it's easy to look good driving around with the T-tops out. It's a
comfortable car, and there's even an upgraded stereo. But what we
like the best is how this is very driver-oriented. You have a
tilt/telescopic steering column, full gauges with a large speedo
and tach directly in front, and the EFI controller lets you know
there's something good under the hood.
The engine bay currently focuses on the driving experience. You
know that when you spot the newer crate engine block. This 350
cubic-inch V8 has also been upgraded with a high-rise intake and
shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. And this V8 is now topped
with a FiTech electronic fuel injection system for the best in
power and consistency. There are even good supporting components
like an HEI distributor and an aluminum radiator. It makes for a
string-running total package. And this Corvette is great for
driving anywhere because you have comfortable and confident
features like a fully independent suspension, power steering, a
three-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel power disc
brakes.
There is room for improvement in the details of this C3. But the
appeal of a true classic like this is often about the fun you can
have today and the potential for all the personalization and
quality restorations you can do in the future. Even the
numbers-matching motor comes with the sale! So if you love power,
distinction, and potential, call today!
