Vehicle Description
The Road Runner was a mid-sized car built by Plymouth with
Performance as its main focus. It was a lower priced version of the
upscale GTX. Plymouth paid a whopping $50,000 to Warner Brothers to
use the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote and
The Road Runner cartoons as well as the "beep beep" horn, which
Plymouth paid another $10,000 to develop. It was a back to basics
mid-size performance car.
The interiors were very sparce, lacking creature comforts. In fact,
the earliest versions of the first generation did not even offer
carpet and other options were unavailable as well like power
steering and front disc brakes. The standard engine was the 335 HP
383 Cubic Inch engine that produced a staggering 425 lb-ft
tortque.
This Road Runner that we are offering for sale has been freshly
restored and is a well sorted car. It is powered by its 440 V8
