Vehicle Description
This 2006 BMW M3 Competition is a car truly built for us
enthusiasts. It's a factory lightweight powerful road rocket that
even has further upgraded power in this upgraded example. But the
sleek dark style also tells you it has been responsibly owned. And
when you look through all the details, you'll soon realize you've
found The Ultimate Driving Machine.
The M3 Competition is the kind of car we're going to covet more and
more as the years go by. It was a special edition version that made
the E46 M3 a more performance machine. In fact, it was the most
hardcore M3 we were offered in the USA. So it just looks terrific
in a mean and sleek black. Plus, it gets even means in the upgraded
details, like the blackout grille, dark background headlights, and
deeply tinted windows. Don't forget BMW already made this one quite
mean with functional details like the aerodynamic body kit, special
Competition-series 19-inch wheels, and a hint of spoiler that
reminds us of the classic 3.0 CSL. This one even turns the
style/substance up a notch with a lightweight fiberglass hood with
heat vents.
This is an actual mileage car, but the presentation inside and out
reminds you that even the best performance cars still get treated
with the respect of a premium BMW. Just look at how clean and
complete the supple leather driver's seat is. Plus, this is a
loaded coupe with satellite navigation, cruise control, power
steering, power locks, keyless entry, power front seats, and a
premium Harman-Kardon stereo. Power windows and a power sunroof
open this coupe up nicely, and if those breezes aren't the ideal
temperature, the automatic climate control will deliver the proper
comfort. This is a modern classic, which means modern safety
features such as dual front airbags, side airbags, stability
control, and anti-lock brakes. But the best piece of them all is
the one you see when slipping into the driver's seat. The
Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel is an exclusive piece shared only
with the M3 Competition and Euro-only M3 CSL. Rather than an array
of knobs and buttons to distract you, there is only one switch.
It's the most important one; it's to turn the track mode on and
off.
Under the hood is what makes the E46 M3 so important. This was the
last generation of naturally aspirated inline motors. So this
3.2-liter inline six-cylinder is considered by many as the pinnacle
of BMW engineering. And while the factory 333 horsepower is
considered impressive, this one corrals even more ponies. It
inhales deeper with an Injen EIS air intake, and it exhales with
added power as headers feed a Rogue Engineering El Diablo exhaust
system. Plus, this has the excellent SMG II gearbox option where
you use paddles to let the computer shift the six-speed faster than
you ever could. The excellent sports suspension is inspired by
pieces from the M3 CSL. Plus, it's turned up a notch with a Meghan
racing strut bar, Turner camber plates, and a rear strut bar. The
four-wheel power disc brakes are even enhanced by an upgraded RB
big brake kit.
While rarity and power often equal value over the long run, we also
love how this one is made for driving today. After all, that's what
owning a BMW is all about. So if you're a true enthusiast, don't
miss this one. Call today!!!
