windows The Chevrolet Impala is an iconic car of the 1950s and
1960s. Stylish, and spacious the Impala was instantly recognizable,
and could be ordered in a variety of body styles and engines This
1962 Impala convertible retains its original 327/300h.p. powerplant
connected to its 4 speed gearbox. This 327 (built on February
19thof 1962 at the Tonawanda plant) runs well and propels the car
down the road at a very satisfactory speed. Fitted with a Posi rear
from the factory, and discreet side exhaust, this is a very
enjoyable Impala The Fisher body, built at Framingham MA plant,
retains its original color combination of tuxedo black (code 900)
over black interior (code 814). The interior is very tidy, with
seats in wonderful condition, accented with white piping. The
gauges are all in good condition, with modern period correct radio
fitted, and CD player hidden in the glove box dashboard trim is
free of any rips or tears, and the glove box trunk release
functions as it should. Sun visors are in g condition, as is the
rear view mirror with 'day' or 'night' tab. The black tonneau cover
is wonderful condition, as is the matching black top. The top
raises and lowers without an trouble, and has a clear rear window.
The body overall is free from any nicks or dings, showing only some
wear und drivers door. Two small dents the size of a dime are
shown, and can be removed without great effort. Walking to the rear
of the car, the Impala script shows well as does the gas door trim.
