Vehicle Description
This 2022 Chevrolet Silverado Bandit Edition is a custom truck that
has an outlaw sense of style. That means a dark sleekness and
escaping form nearly anything with its 4x4 prowess. And when you
also check out the unique details and a rarely-seen body
configuration, the distinction will be your reward for capturing
this Bandit.
There's only about 3,800 miles on this Chevy, and so the black
paint continues to have that showroom-level luster that makes this
both sporty and mean - all in the first glance. The single-cab
short-bed pickups are the sports cars of the truck world. We don't
get to see them too often in modern times. So the configuration is
already quite distinctive, and exactly the kind of pickup the
Bandit would drive. In fact, since we don't have Pontiac anymore,
the Silverado seems like the natural progression to a pickup. And
this one takes the time to have a classic Trans Am Special Edition
style package. Chevrolet is the golden bow tie, and there's plenty
of extra added gold to go with the gloss black. It includes the
block letting in the grille, Bandit callouts (front & rear), and
even an Outlaw decal in the bed. The pinstripes encircle the truck
to showcase factory flared fenders, distinct aerodynamics under the
headlights, and the tall hood. That T/A-style hood bird is awesome,
and it even fits under the added turbo hood scoop. You'll notice
Bandit logos strategically placed on this pickup, including the
wheels. And those 22-inch alloys also have a terrific black and
gold style to go with the whole truck. Upgrades like the bed rails
and soft tonneau are nice to have when it's time to get to work.
But really, we bet you'll attach a trailer to the rear hitch rather
than risk putting something jagged in this special edition
pickup.
The interior is fresh and loaded. It starts with unique details
like the Bandit logos embroidered on the headrests and the dash has
graphics on the center stack that identifies this as Silverado
Edition #1. And because this is a new/modern truck, it's loaded
with the best features. You have air conditioning, power windows,
power locks, an electric rear defogger, keyless ignition, dual
front airbags, side airbags, and a touchscreen interface for the
AM/FM/XM stereo, backup camera, and Bluetooth. The seating lets you
fold down the middle jump seat for sports car-like buckets. And the
tilt steering column and full gauges make the driver's seat a
command position.
Under the hood is the 2.7-liter turbocharged motor. This feels like
a cool nod to Smokey and the Bandit II where Trigger was a turbo
Trans Am. What's really nice about his motor is that it's at the
technology and innovation end of the Chevy truck spectrum. It's
good for everyday driving both for pep and economy, and the 430
lb-ft of torque rating means you have serious pulling power when
you need it. That's especially useful for utilizing the 4x4
ruggedness from a standstill. And the power steering, traction
control, and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS make this an easy
anytime cruiser. Part of the versatility is also the eight-speed
automatic transmission. The computer is able to select what's the
best gear based on your throttle input to know if you're having fun
around town or hauling a trailer full of Coors.
This Silverado is a rare truck that reminds us that the best custom
vehicles deliver the best sporty fun. It's time to be the outlaw.
