Vehicle Description
Long, distinctive, and exceptionally original, a car like this 1972
Ford Galaxie 500 offers you a standout vintage coupe. After all,
with a premium look, time capsule interior, and numbers-matching V8
power, this is the kind of classic that is welcomed in any
crowd.
These were the final years for Ford's famous Galaxie name, and
their look is quite distinctive today. Next year's bumper laws
would soon put an end to artful front ends like this one with
chrome surrounding a full-feature grille and inset headlights.
Since you don't see many of these around anymore, it's great to
have the presentation representing its era by looking quite
premium. The factory-correct red paint was given a quality respray
to make sure it continues to shine with pride. And there really is
a lot to love on this long coupe. The shine of the classic Cragar
SS wheels compliments the bumpers, and the body panels have a crisp
style of good respect.
The red interior is highly original and exceptionally attractive.
We especially love the vintage texture of the two wide bench seats,
and as a true full-sized coupe, this Galaxie will seat six people
with ease. The wood paneling has been preserved on the doors and
dash to the level that allows this to retain its premium image.
Ford's two-tier instrument panel puts all the gauges up high and
the secondary controls down low, but the effect is very clean and
driver-oriented. This was also one of the final years you could
roll down all the windows for a true pillarless hardtop profile.
And while the interior feels like a time capsule, you'll likely
spot the well-paced AM/FM retro-style stereo with aux input. After
all, a proper cruiser needs the right driving music.
Under the hood is Ford's robust 351 cubic-inch V8, and it's the
numbers-matching unit for this Galaxie. It's a tidy setup that's
built to drive. That's why you have newer plug wires, a newer
battery, and an electric choke on the carb. While this looks very
stock on top, when you look underneath, you'll spot some very cool
upgrades. Hedman long tube headers give this some nice added pep,
and the H-pipe dual exhaust has a nice V8 tune. And a set of
electric cutouts can really let this V8 rumble with just the flip
of a switch under the dash. It all makes for a bit of added fun to
this classic. And the three-speed automatic transmission, power
steering, and power brakes with front discs are all about making
sure this hardtop is easy to cruise.
The Ford is reserved in all the places you want, and investments in
the places you'll most appreciate it. And when a well-presented
driver is also exceptionally affordable, you know you need to hurry
to catch this deal. Call today!!!
