Vehicle Description
This 1961 Volkswagen Beetle Ragtop is a fully restored and upgraded
car that completed its work only about 800 miles ago. So it's quite
a fresh build that gives you an open roof, super-slick paint, a
supple leather interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and a
performance-built motor. It all makes for an outstanding custom
that you'll love to drive everywhere and likely pick up trophies
along the way.
With such a fresh build, the red paint is butter-smooth. The way it
radiates and lets the light dance off the curvy Beetle design and
show off the excellent fit will make you want to spend extra time
out in the sunshine. Of course, we know the full-length ragtop
sunroof will have you loving every sunny day, too. And what makes
the whole package so striking is the way it respects its history
while also being absolutely custom. Up front, you have classic
pieces like the covered headlights and Wolfsburg crest in the trim.
These are joined by details like the upgraded bumpers and billet
mini grilles for a touch of smoother and modern style. Along the
sides, the fenders were widened to accept a beautiful set of RDW
15-inch wheels. And the rear has the classic "Pope's Nose" decklid
take center stage, but it's also updated with a unique teardrop
blue-dot quad tail light package. It all makes for the kind of
style where you can tell someone who loved VWs wanted to make
something distinct.
The classic VW interior looks nice from a quality presentation. The
supple tan leather looks premium without being out of place in this
classic. That's because they took the time to give you the right
details like the low-back front bucket seats, beautifully polished
door cranks, and a classic weave to the carpeting. The speedometer
is the classic VDO unit with an early-style separate fuel gauge,
but you can also tell this is an upgraded driver. The wood-rimmed
Sportline steering wheel and Hurst four-speed shifter are there to
engage you better than the factory did.
The engine bay continues the sleek red style that really showcases
how fresh the build is. At the center is a performance-built 1776cc
motor that features a Scat 69mm counterweighted crank, Cima 90.5 mm
pistons, Scat C25 camshaft, EMPI aluminum dual port heads, and dual
Weber carburetors. And details like the belt tensioner and HEI
ignition remind you that this is a car that's made to be driven.
More of this enhanced driving attitude also comes from upgrades
like four-wheel disc brakes and a grippy set of sport tires.
It feels like they scrutinized every inch of this build to make
sure this VW is sleek, premium, powerful, and distinct. So if you
want a sunny-day ragtop Bug that is absolutely awesome from the
moment it comes into view, call today!
