For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet Nova in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This is a RUNNING and DRIVING Original 1963 Chevy II Nova Station Wagon. Originally purchased in 1963 at Peninsula Chevrolet in Palo Alto, CA by Jerome and Ruth Reed. The car lived in Palo Alto, CA all it’s life until 2010 when the Reed’s moved to Jacksonville, FL. I purchased the car in 2014 from the Reed’s with 43,000 original miles on the factory 194 6 cylinder engine and powerglide transmission. It now has 50,134 miles and still runs awesome. I even drove it 650 miles when I moved to NC without issue.

As you can see by the photos this Wagon has its original paint and all original components and has ZERO dents on the body. It has never had a panel replacement and aside from a few clovers and a couple spots on the hood, the floor pans, shock towers, quarter panels, rocker panels, roof, frame, jams, doors have zero rust and only minimal surface oxidation. The same goes for the rear trunk area, tailgate, and even the spare tire area. All are clean. All the original seams and welds are in tact. Lines and panels are as factory. I took off the door panels and rear moldings so a buyer can inspect metal integrity. I have these items. I also have the original AM radio. There are no components missing. This is a complete car. All spare tire components are there. This wagon is exactly as described on the cowl tag and the original VIN tag is untouched.

Motor runs without leaks. Transmission shifts nicely and brakes work as factory. This car can be driven with no issues. All the factory components work (lights, Speedo, cig lighter, heater, defrost, etc.). It has a rear power window motor. The switch works and the motor works when tested separately but it’s not strong enough to operate the window as the regulator spring is awfully tough. Cardone can rebuild the original or a 1980’s suburban tailgate motor fits exact with a minor harness modification.

I have the original owners and service booklet with the Reed’s information and the paperwork from the title transfer showing it came from California to Florida and the vehicle was sold to me from the Reeds. I have a clear FL title in my name issued 2014.

This is a really neat car you don’t see around often. It is very clean and a nice candidate for a restoration or to drive as is. I’ve taken it to the beach and various events over the years and it gets more attention than the muscle cars. You simply will not find a nova wagon with near perfect factory panels like this that had the benefit of being in a climate like CA most of it’s life.

I am moving back to FL Friday 9/30 and I would like to sell it here in NC but if I have to take it with me to FL I can. It has 1 original key. A clear FL title in my name with no liens. I have done maintenance items over the years like brakes and it has a newer gas tank and pump. Starter, alternator, etc. Message me for those details.
