This one has the looks, the sound, the options and it's in great
shape!
EXTERIOR: It has a clean, straight body. No rust or damage, panels
fit square and flush. It has hood scoops and a spoiler. Original
FE5 red car. It has a smooth glossy finish. Only minor
imperfections if you are looking closely. Jambs are slick, bottom
of the doors are clean. Really dressed up with black, hood scoops,
spoiler and stripes. Real nice chrome and trim. Optional sport
mirrors and fender turn signals. Good original glass, the quarter
windows pop open. 14 inch rally wheels are in great shape, wrapped
in BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Factory white interior looks amazing against the red. It
also has very desirable bucket seats and console. Other nice
features include a working factory Am-Fm radio and Tuff Grip wheel.
Aftermarket goodies include embroidered mats and a tachometer.
Clean dash area- knobs, heater controls, lenses etc. New glovebox
liner and an owner's manual. The door panels, dash cap, carpet,
cushions, and upholstery on the buckets were replaced. Very good
original back seat and headliner.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct 340 motor was hopped up a little with a
Comp cam, headers, Edelbrock intake and carb. It's painted neatly
and is dressed up with finned valve covers and air cleaner. New
alternator, serpentine belt system. Upgraded aluminum radiator with
a shroud and new hoses. It features power steering and a new power
brake system. The engine bay is clean metal painted red. It has the
fender tag in place and the vin on the core support.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean, solid metal. It's all painted red,
under the lid is glossy. Complete jack and spare assembly. New mat
and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension has been
completely rebuilt and detailed. Rear suspension was rebuilt too.
New dual exhaust system with the square chrome tips. Brake system
was rebuilt. It has disc in front, the e-brake assembly is hooked
up. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank. Looking
up at the motor it is spotless, it has a high torque starter.
Correct 727 Torqueflite automatic trans also looks fresh. It has an
8 3/4 rear end. The floors and frame rails appear to be rock solid
original metal freshened up with some light undercoat.
This has a lot to offer without spending a fortune. No vinyl top,
the stance, colors, scoops, and spoilers are sharp looking. Inside
is just as sharp. Love how that cam sounds through the chrome
tips!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
