Originally won in a raffle in the Houston Astrodome in March 1980,
this 1980 Chevy K10 4x4 Custom Deluxe is an original dealer limited
edition tribute truck to the Houston Oilers and Bum Phillips, their
famed coach of that era. The truck's custom name is "The
Roughneck," a salute to the Houston Oilers' mascot, and the
nickname coach Bum Phillips. It has been fully restored and
features a brand-new BluePrint Engines Chevy 350ci with 380hp. All
engine parts are brand-new quality parts. Brand-new fuel tanks and
fuel system have been installed. The interior of the truck features
brand-new air conditioning and heat, an all brand-new interior with
custom seats and a sound system. New dashboard controls, new dash
pad and new wire harness. The exterior features all-new body panels
with the cab fully restored. The truck was repainted to match its
original colors, and ceramic coating has been applied to the paint
with rock chip protectant film over the bottom red stripe. Windows
have been tinted with high-quality UV heat shielding. All lighting,
bulbs and trim on the truck are brand-new. The truck's original
transmission has been rebuilt and the original NP205 transfer case
has been freshly rebuilt with all new gears and bearings. Both
front and rear drive shafts are brand-new. Brand-new axles,
bearings and gearing in both front and rear with 3.73 ratio.
Brand-new limited-slip differential in the rear with custom red
differential cover. The truck features the original custom aluminum
wheels that have been turned and repainted with original oiler blue
accent colors and are surrounded by brand-new 33-inch general
Grabber tires. A custom red painted roll bar has been added that
can house KC lights if desired, and a chrome step rail has been
