Vehicle Description
1965 Chevrolet El Camino Custom
What Makes This Car Special
Chevrolet El Camino is a coupe utility vehicle that was produced by
Chevrolet between 1959-1960 and 1964-1987. Unlike a pickup truck,
the El Camino was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform
that integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body.
Introduced in the 1959 model year in response to the success of the
Ford Ranchero coupe utility, its first run lasted only two years.
Production resumed for the 1964-1977 model years based on the
Chevelle platform.
A lot of collectors think the 1965 El Camino is the most desirable
body style of all.

Mechanical
The Camino we have has what appears to be a 350 cubic inch small
block Chevrolet engine backed by a 4-speed transmission. It has a
horsepower increases from what was stock with the addition of
aluminum heads, aftermarket tube headers, dual exhaust system,
aluminum intake, 4-barrel carb, Edelbrock finned aluminum valve
covers, as well as the chrome open air cleaner, performance
distributer and red spark plug wires, MSD electronics, power
steering, and chrome alternator.
It looks good with the custom aftermarket black/polished mag wheels
black sidewall performance tires and handles and stops great
too.
Interior
The black/grey custom twin bucket seat and matching rear seat looks
great as does the rest of the interior including the matching door
panels, carpet, headliner and trim.
It has an aftermarket stereo Radio, 6-spoke polished steering
wheel, the full Camino dash and gauge package with yellow accented
gauges and an accessory gauge package below, seat belts, and a
4-speed chrome shifter
Exterior
The 1965 has been repainted in a cool vibrant shade of yellow on
the body with factory correct badging, chrome bumpers front and
rear, nice lines and straight body panels, and nice glass and
trim.
A trunk bed liner and tailgate mat is a plus too and the fold-down
tailgate makes access easy to the bed.
