Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 210 Del Ray Restomod has the classic look you
love, but now there's also dual-quad big block power, a five-speed
manual transmission, and a distinct two-tone exterior. Plus, the
unique Del Ray interior has been upgraded to a more luxurious A/C
setup. It all makes for quite an enhanced icon.
The two-tone paint is similar to the factory Neptune Green/India
Ivory combination offered back in the day, but there's an added
boldness in the green that makes this one instantly notable. That
glossy finish does a fantastic job of highlighting all the shapely
curves of the sheet metal. And when the light hits it just right,
you'll notice ghost flames dancing down the green panels. This
specialized paint gives this classic an attitude of performance
that continues with the upgraded TQ polished wheels with a
17/18-inch front/rear staggered to deliver a hint of a more
aggressive stance. There's plenty of chrome to set this one apart
with the bumpers, alloys, wide dual exhaust tips, and side trim
separating the two-tone. It all has the bright shine that reminds
you there's less than 3,800 miles on this build. And you can tell
they really paid attention, right down to finer brightwork details,
like the billet-style grille, classic hood ornament, and the
crystal-clear headlights - it's a clean machine that puts its best
face forward.
The exterior's two-tone theme carries through to the interior. The
seats alone are worth showing off, sporting the unique upholstery
pattern of the special Del Ray trim - with side panels done to
match. Everything from the carpeting to the headliner has a kind of
freshness that comes from a recent restoration. It's the kind of
classic you'll be thrilled to share with family, friends, and any
classic car lover. Plus, it's got some great upgrades to keep you
happy while you make the rounds, from the retro-style
AM/FM/cassette stereo to the cold-blowing Vintage Air A/C. This was
also built to be a more engaging driver with a tilt steering
column, aluminum pedals, and upgraded white-face gauges. And the
large tach is quite handy when paired with the floor shifter.
We love that the Tri-Five Chevys launched the small block V8 era,
but the right people know there's room for a big block in there,
too. So this one is made into a muscle car with a 402 cubic-inch
V8. It was bored out to 408 ci total, and it's enhanced further
with dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, an Edelbrock intake,
and the long tube headers with H-pipe dual exhaust and Flowmaster
mufflers. It's a big power car, and the upgraded T5 five-speed
manual transmission gives you full control over it all. But more
than pure muscle, this one feels like a true cruiser out on the
road with power steering, power brakes, strong front discs, a thick
front sway bar, rear traction bars, and modern Goodyear Eagle
tires.
This sparkling Tri-Five is easy to drive, easy to love, and easily
creates plenty of envy wherever it goes. It's an irresistible
package you need to get your hands on before someone else does.
