1965 Triumph Herald 1200 Convertible for sale. Purchased the car from left coast classics in June 2020, where previously the car spent most of its life in San Diego and Oxnard California. 66,000 original miles (undocumented) as the car was stored and off the road for a number of years.
The exterior is in good condition with a resent paint refresh to the sides as it was scratched at a garage. It has it share of chips and nicks to the older paint but adds to the overall patina of the classic.
The undercarriage is solid and rust free. The top is not torn and fits well, but is aged and the rear window is clouded. The seats were redone in black with red piping with a minor tear in the back.
The engine runs well and was looked at by a few mechanics over the last few years and I’ve continued to maintain/improve:
Overall services and cleaning. New battery, disc brakes, repaired differential, new drive shaft, u joints, new tires, new gaskets in the engine (but there remains a small leak by the oil pan). I have over 6k in mechanic receipts with the work that I can share.
Overall a super fun car in great running condition.
