Vehicle Description
1940 Chevrolet Master 85 Streetrod
BEAUTIFUL FRESH BUILD! FUEL INJ CRATE 350, 700R4, PS, PWR DISCS,
A/C, LEATHER!
Look through our inventory and you'll see plenty of 1940 Fords, but
oddly, not nearly as many Chevrolets. The big two have been duking
it out since the mid-20s, and if your tastes run to the pre-war
era, you owe it to yourself to take a good look at this gorgeous
1940 Chevrolet Master 85 Streetrod. Professionally built with a
fuel-injected crate 350 and a lot of luxury and convenience items,
this is the perfect rod for the person who loves to drive.
The Burgundy paint was expertly applied at the time of this '40s
extensive restoration just over 1,000 miles ago, and on the
curvaceous body it looks amazing, bringing out the details and
giving it a show-quality glow out in the sunlight. The body is OEM
steel that hasn't been chopped or modified in any way. And why
would you? The Master is already one of the most handsome cars of
the era, with tidy proportions, cool faired-in headlights, and a
timeless profile. Bodywork is first-rate, with a lot of extra care
used on the final finish. That means tons of block sanding and hand
work to get all the surfaces flat, and an expert behind the paint
gun to lay it down so beautifully. It shows very little use, and
thanks to the wonders of urethane technology, it'll look this good
for years to come. A few custom liberties were taken, specifically
the introduction of PT Cruiser door and rear hatch handles, deleted
bumpers fore and aft, and LED taillights. The hood was also
stripped of it's stock trim for a more streamlined look, and 3M
rock chip protection film was installed on the front end and
running boards to protect the beautiful finish.
