doesn't love a 2-seater, mid-engine sports car?
One of the neatest ones has to be the Fiat X1/9! These rarely seen
Italian sports cars are eye-catching and incredibly fun to drive!
The 1290 CC engine is mid-mounted for great stability and weight
distribution, meaning this car handles like a dream. Pair that with
a 4-speed manual transmission and you've got a true driver's
car.
The exterior is painted a bright yellow with black accents and a
targa top. The X1/9 graphics on the side will have Fiat enthusiasts
smiling and onlookers who are less in the know wondering what just
blew past them. These were made by Fiat from 1972 to 1982. The
pop-up headlights are super cool and the black targa top stores
nicely in the bonnet. This was also Fiat's first car to meet US
safety regulations. Because of the cars aerodynamics and upgrades
to the engine and transmission, this Fiat topped out at 106 miles
per hour! The suspension is fully independent, the steering is rack
and pinion, and the brakes are 4-wheel disc making this car a true
delight to throw around corners on the street or track. These are
water cooled and feature a single two-barrel Weber downdraft
carburetor feeding the peppy 4-cylinder engine. If you're in the
market for a cool inexpensive classic car to add to or start your
collection, give this Fiat X1/9 a good long long. Comes with a car
cover.
