Vehicle Description
1988 HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK 79,999 ORIGINAL MILES!!! NO RUST! ALWAYS
CALIFORNIA CAR! CLEAN TITLE RUNS EXCELLENT! RECENTLY PASSED SMOG
ICE COLD A/C!!! NO ACCIDENTS!!! STARTS RIGHT UP, FIRST TIME, EVERY
DAY! If it sits for three weeks, it starts up the first time. NO
OVERHEATING! TEMPERATURE GAUGE NEVER ABOVE HALF! This thing is
basically a two owner car. The second owner bought it in either
1990 or 1991. She had owned it ever since. I bought it a few years
ago from her and it had 75,000 miles on it. Towards the last 10
years or so, she only drove it like 100 miles a year - to church,
and to the grocery store. When I bought it from her, the tires were
basically full tread, but they were 24 years old! * I put on all
new tires * All new brakes * New radiator * New thermostat *New
motor mounts (all) * New pneumatic arms for hatchback (VERY STRONG)
You can drive with something sticking out of the back, and leave
the hatch open. The hatch won't bounce up and down. Just smogged
I've taken it on the freeway at 80 mph. Drives great, doesn't
shake. I don't like to drive it that speed regularly because these
1980s cars were made to drive 55, but I drive 65 to 70 very
comfortably! Although I don't drive it like an enthusiast might, it
does handle like a dream! This thing has been more than regularly
serviced throughout its whole life. Two mechanics looked at the
timing belt and water pump. I took a picture of the water pump, it
is a glowing goldish bronze color. They told me that both were
brand spanking new. The body is extraordinarily straight. The only
things I see are the right back quarter panel with a couple of
small dings. At the very top of the driver side of the window, if
you go through car wash it leaks a little. I put some tape on there
which kept it from leaking temporarily, but I feel if somebody put
epoxy in the little gutter connector there it would stop
completely. I have to clean the inside of it out, needs a
vacuuming. UPDATE: NEEDS DISTRIBUTOR
