GR Auto Gallery is excited to offer this 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible to the world stage. It has been a long time since we have had a first gen Mustang convertible of this caliber to hit our floor. It is finished in signature, Candy Apple Red exterior paint over red interior with white convertible top. The car has been completely restored approximately 10 years ago, shows just over 61000 miles (said to be original), features its 289 V8 engine, and has been properly stored and cared for ever since. Originally the car came with a 3-speed manual transmission, manual steering and manual brakes.
Since 2015, the car has received the following upgrades: Tremec T-5 5 speed manual transmission, new Borgeson Power Steering conversion, tilt steering column, front disc brakes, dual custom exhaust, Magnum 500 wheels, suspension etc.
The car remains in excellent condition throughout, of course a few minor imperfections consistent with use. This car is meant to drive. All mechanical upgrades were professionally executed and the car has been well sorted.
This Mustang drives fantastic. It pulls strong in every gear, the suspension and steering are tight, and it brakes straight. This car can be driven with confidence and it behaves well in all driving conditions whether in the city, country roads or flat out highway speeds.
