camper versions remain among the most popular as they were used on
family outings, travel cross country or following the Grateful
Dead. 1972 was the first year for the new "Pancake" engine
originally developed for the Type 4 sedan. Today, the Westfalia
Campers have come into their own as a collector and remain highly
sought after.
The 1972 Volkswagen Westfalia Campmobile offered here has been
selectively restored and finished in two tone Enzian Blue with
white. The interior features custom upholstered front seats with
contrasting piping and headrests, closet with mirror, sink, custom
stereo, refrigerator, table with 3 place seating, fold down rear
bed, custom curtains, pop up tent, wood paneling, etc. The exterior
features new paint, louvered side windows, classic button style
hubcaps, white wall tires etc. This Westy is powered by its 1.7
liter 4 cylinder air cooled engine that has been fitted with a new
carburetor and has been recently tuned. The Van runs and drives
great and is ready for a new adventure.
