This 1968 Chevrolet C10 underwent a 3 � year build and includes
luxuries like a tilt column and a recognizable steering wheel from
a '55 Chevrolet Bel Air, a fully restored gauge cluster from a 1957
Chevrolet pickup, hand fitted into a custom dashboard built by
Dakota Muscle Cars. Vintage Air conditioning is integrated into the
dash with a hand-built center console with the RideTech air ride
controls for the suspension and a Lokar shifter. Premier stereo
system helps the list of high-quality options in this truck. This
custom frame off build by Kevin Archer, started by changing the
original dash, then shaved the cab's drip rails and filled the seam
at the backside top of the cab. Next was to flush-fit the front and
rear glass and converted the doors to one-piece power windows, the
bed had the bedside stake pockets filled and the floor was smoothed
to a glass finish. Next the gas tank and filler were removed from
behind the cab seat and relocated with an aluminum fuel cell
mounted under the bed with the fuel filler door installed in the
rear bed. The Chevrolet lettering was removed from the tailgate
face and moved the tailgate latch handle from the exterior to the
interior of the tailgate. The body was shaved of all OEM trim and
emblems. Hand-fabricated finish for a smooth firewall, with
fabricated pans to fill the space between the grille and the
radiator support, and a filler panel to eliminate the space between
the rear bumper and the body. Customization was topped off by
flush-fitting custom taillight lenses and bezels and smoothing the
bumpers. Special custom touch includes grafting fender vents from a
BMW M5 into the Chevy front fenders and fabricating body trim from
brass stock that was hand-formed, and chrome plated. the truck is
painted a PPG basecoat/clearcoat in Desert Sand Mica. This C-10 has
an upgraded custom-built frame with CPP dropped Spindles with a
RideTech air ride system. Custom C notch w/ 4 link adjustable rear
sway bars mounted to the powder-coated frame. Chevy 12-bolt rear
end. 6.0 LS2 engine from Southern Performance, Nordstrom
plug-and-play wiring harness, Nordstrom tweak the ECM for better
performance, new 4L65E. Riding on a set of 20" US Mags and Yokohama
tires. Custom engine bay, Billet Specialties polished serpentine
kit, Polished Master cylinder. Awards include 2022 Muscle Cars on
the Strip', "Worlds Ultimate Truck, 2021 Holley LS fest Vegas -
Selected "Top Five favorites Goodguys Hartland Nationals "Class Act
Award", Car Craft Summer Nationals, "Top Ten" and "Trick Truck
awards, Goodguys Midwestern Nationals, "Classic Truck Finest five"
