This custom 1978 Toyota FJ40 underwent a total nut-and-bolt
frame-off restoration that was completed in 2020. It is powered by
an LS3 V8 engine producing 435hp mated to a rebuilt original FJ H42
4-speed manual transmission using a hydraulic clutch attached to a
rebuilt transfer case. Equipped with Factory FJHD rebuilt
differentials with new hubs, 3.70 gear ratio front and rear, a
custom fuel cell with stainless-steel fuel lines, a custom aluminum
radiator with an electric fan, Saginaw power steering conversion,
Painless Wiring harness, a stand-alone engine harness and factory
Corvette manifolds that feed into a custom 2.5-inch exhaust with
MagnaFlow tips. Finished in Porsche Silver, it features NOS badges
and custom LED headlights, a WARN front bumper with an integrated
WARN VR EVO 10,000-pound winch with remote control and PIAA LED
lights. The all-aluminum body from Hard Body 4x4 by Aqualu
Industries sits on a powder-coated frame with a Rancho 4-inch lift,
shocks and steering stabilizers riding on Fuel 17-inch wheels
wrapped in Nitto 35-inch Ridge Grappler tires. The interior
features Corbeau fully adjustable front heated seats and a Corbeau
bench back seat, full custom carpet and mats, factory-style gauges,
tilt steering, an Alpine 7-inch touchscreen deck with Apple
CarPlay, front and rear cameras and a center locking console by
Tuffy. Additionally, it features an easy-to-remove bikini top and
the original roll bar can easily be removed for transport, as well
as the fold down windshield.
