Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette 283/270 convertible is powered by a
rebuilt 283ci/270hp V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors mated
to a rebuilt BorgWarner T10 4-speed manual transmission with a
posi-traction rear end. Equipped with a new clutch that was
installed and the correct 9 Fin valve covers were restored along
with the 2x4 intake and the WCFB carburetors. A new set of ignition
shielding was installed to cover the correct dual point
distributor. Finished in Arctic Blue with silver coves with a
Shoreline Beige interior and beige canvas top. The convertible top
frame was restored and a new Al Knoch Stayfast canvas top and new
Corvette rubber weatherstrip were installed. A new dash forward
Lectric Limited wiring harness was installed, the tachometer drive
generator was rebuilt and a regulator was installed. Riding on
polished original hubcaps with new spinners and wrapped in a new
set of Coker Radial whitewall tires. Equipped with a new custom
exhaust.
