We have come across a few rare Corvette Barn Finds since we have
been in business. There are various reasons why some people park
these gems in storage for decades. Sometimes it's with the hope
that the owner can restore them to all their glory at a later date,
sometimes it's for lack of funds, or sometimes just other things in
life takes precedence.
We came across this rare 1966 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible
Barn Find in Pennsylvania and decided it was one that we wanted to
restore ourselves, and we did.
It is a real-deal 1966 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible with a
4-speed transmission, painted in Marina Blue Metallic code #976,
with the bright blue leather code #415 bucket seat interior,
powered by the 427 cubic inch Chevrolet big block engine, with it
having a complete frame-off restoration into the Corvette that you
can buy here today.

We have what we believe to be the original rebuilt numbers matching
correct 427 cubic inch #3869942 casting number V-8 engine backed by
a manual transmission 4-speed. The engine has the "Porcupine"
cylinder heads, chrome factory open air cleaner, factory orange
painted valve covers, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, orange
painted intake, Holley performance carb, chrome shielded
distributor, and all sitting in the clean, detailed, and restored
engine compartment that looks as good as the day it left the
factory.
Interior
The restored interior looks as original too and every part has been
replaced or refinished. It has the Bright blue leather code #415
bucket seat interior with matching dash, door panels, console,
visors, and carpet with a period Mr. Gasket 4-speed shifter and the
original factory shifter included in the sale.
All the factory gauges and controls, seat belts, floor mats, door
panels, factory radio, fully carpeted luggage area, door sills,
trim, white convertible top, and the wood Corvette steering wheel,
make it look like a literal time capsule.
Exterior
Our restored Corvette has been repainted back to the original color
of Marina Blue Metallic code #976 flowing over the iconic 1966
Corvette styling with the one year only 427 Turbo-Jet V8's special
hood, the retractable headlights, and the front fender louver
design.
It has the chrome 427 and Corvette emblems, all new or refinished
chrome bumpers and trim, and rides on brand new 1966 only
reproduction Knock-Off wheels and caps with brand new white
sidewall tires.
