Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this rare Factory 4 Speed Trans Am with its numbers matching Pontiac 301 engine with low actual miles of 95,410.  1710 1979 Trans Am's were produced with factory 4 speed and 301 Pontiac engine with Hardtop.  This car is very special because it still retains its numbers matching original Pontiac 301 engine and 4 speed manual transmission with matching vin stamps.  This TA has remained with its original owner from new until March of 2022.  This TA features believed to be mostly original paint with original decals, an original Blue deluxe vinyl interior, and the numbers matching 301 Pontiac engine and numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission.  This TA was rust proofed when new and a copy of the contract is included from the dealer.  This TA is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination of Nocturne Blue (code 29) over Blue deluxe vinyl interior code(29N).  This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and factory build sheet pictured above.   The Miles are stated as "Actual" on the clean Ohio title.  Numerous dealer docs and books and brochures comes with this special TA.  The original window sticker is included as well as the factory Build Sheet.

Exterior

The Blue exterior is in good mostly original condition.  This TA is believed to have mostly original paint with original decals, emblems and moldings and shows well with consistent paint around the car.  The paint is in good overall condition for its age and still shows well and has a good shine and gloss.  Both bumpers are in good overall shape.  There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos.  Tires have decent tread left and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the Rally II OEM wheels are originals and are in nice condition with no curb rash and the trim rings are original and in excellent shape.  The trunk is very solid and very clean with the original space saver spare tire, jack and original trunk mat.  This car was rust proof undercoated when new and shows signs of original rust proofing still under the car.

Interior

The Blue deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans AM is in mostly original nice condition.  The seat covers are original and in good overall shape and are comfortable and the seat foam is very supportive.  There are two seam splits on the drivers seat which can be replaced.  The carpet appears to be original and in good overall shape.  The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or warping or fading.  The dash bezel is in great condition as well.  The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact.  The headliner was replaced and is like new.  And the package tray is original and in good shape.  The stereo was changed to an Alpine digital Cassette unit with new speakers and sounds and works great.  All interior lights and gauges work as they should, outside of the clock.  The horn, stereo, wipers, and rear defrost all work.  The blower motor works on default speed but not the others.  I will look into this.  This is a factory AC car and all items are in place but cannot verify if system is working correctly until blower motor issue is solved.

Mechanical

This TA is in good mechanical condition and most importantly the original numbers matching Pontiac 301 engine and transmission are still in the car, see vin stamp photos of both above.  This TA runs and drives well, it rides tight, drives well down the road, does not run hot, and drives good.  The engine bay still shows a lot of originality and is stock in appearance.  The brakes work as they should with no pulling from side to side and were serviced some years ago.  The exhaust has been upgraded with a Magna Flow muffler and has a good exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds, the factory catalytic converter is still in place.  New rear leaf springs were added along with new rear shocks.  The leaf springs will settle more with age.  Oil change was recently completed.  This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owner and has been garaged all its life and shows well.  Original owner had this TA from new until March 2022.  This TA is truly the one to have being a low production car with the factory 4 speed manual transmission.  Very few of these cars were made and very few are still original and very few are in factory Nocturne Blue paint.
