Lot #750-1979 Ford F150 Ranger Lariat 4 Wheel Drive- This Short Wheelbase F150 comes to us via a long time award winning South Carolina collector and builder. This restoration was truly a labor of love with absolutely no expenses spared. There is, without a doubt, no amount of pictures or words that can come close to adequately describing this truck. It positively must be seen to appreciate. This was an extensive multiyear complete "Frame Off" restoration project that left nothing untouched. Every part, every nut and bolt possible was refurbished or rebuilt. Factory equipment includes a 351 C.I. V-8 Engine, Air Conditioning, Automatic Transmission, Ranger "Lariat" package. Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, AMFM Radio, Deluxe Trim and "Lariat" Interior. The Air Conditioning was upgraded to a more efficient modern system. The radio was replaced with a modern vintage style unit and the wheels and tires were replaced for personal preference. One could get lost in the deep Black paint. As mentioned before, the owner is a well-known builder and collector. He is not a dealer. This Truck was never meant to be sold. It was a heart-felt inspired project that money was truly no object. The same amount of time and labor that goes into $100,000.00 restorations was also put into this truck. Owner states that the 71,000 miles that are showing on the odometer are correct, (as represented on the title), and that it was a very nice running and driving truck even before the restoration was started. As we all know, things change. The owner is moving on to a new venture that does not include collector vehicles. We know that more than one of these Lariats were produced in 1979, but it would be highly doubtful that there is another one anywhere that would even come close to comparing to this one.
