For Sale at Auction: 1994 Ford Mustang in Concord, North Carolina

Lot #679-1994 Ford Mustang Cobra Indy Pace Car Convertible-UNRESTORED ORIGINAL NORTH CAROLINA CAR WITH ONLY 5,884 MILES (exempt because of age)! According to internet reports, the Cobra convertible was chosen to be the pace car for the 1994 Indy 500 race held in May 1994. To celebrate the honor all 1,000 1994.5 Cobra Convertibles produced were pace car replicas finished in Rio red with saddle tops and interiors. To complete the look "Official Pace Car" decals were supplied in the trunk of every car. The cars weren't cheap however and cost $27,320 in '94. Reportedly designed by Jack Roush, it came standard with 215HP 4.9L V-8 and a 5-Speed manual transmission.
