Ford introduced the Mach I Mustang in 1969 and it was a game
changer. The Mach I started with a V-8, a 'Sportsroof' body and
added numerous visual and performance items such as a twin-scoop
hood w/pins, front air dam and rear deck spoiler. Additional
exterior Mach I features include honeycomb sport-lamp grill/rear
fascia, sport mirrors and Mach I accent decals/stripes. This
beautiful 1972 Mustang Mach I (code-05) has been fully restored to
original (2019). The owner states that the mileage (just under
71,000) is actual and that mechanicals are matching numbers
(engine, trans, differential). A professional 2-stage respray of
original Light Pewter (code-5A) is in outstanding condition.
Accents include a black hood/rear spoiler, Mach I trim and sharp
Magnum 500 wheels that mount BFG Radial T/A tires. The restored
black vinyl interior is excellent and includes high back bucket
seats, console, dash pad, wood grain accents, tinted windows,
factory gauge package w/tach and 'Dual' AM/FM/MP3 sound system. The
powerplant is a 351ci Cleveland (H-code) that was originally fitted
with a 2-barrel carburetor but the owner has installed an Edelbrock
Performer intake and dual-feed Holley 4V carb. This Mach 1 is
equipped with functional ram-air hood w/dual scoops, an option in
1972. The fully rebuilt FMX 3-speed automatic (code-X) supplies
torque to an open differential that was factory equipped with
3.25:1 gears (code-9). The spotless chassis is fitted with power
steering, power disc/drum brakes, front sway bar, new dual exhaust
and new fuel tank. The owner of this 'Hoss' is ready to pass it on
to a new driver - why not you? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
