The Corvette offered here as undergone an extensive restoration at
some point and still shows very well. The car was restored piece by
piece from the frame up and comes with photos showing the process.
The 327 was resealed and the engine compartment was detailed by
Robert's Corvette Center just a couple of months ago. The car
shifts and steers easily and is a pleasure to drive.
The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the
Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its
predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension,
and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could
produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars
and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had
mass produced a true all-around sports car.
