A sedan delivery is simply a two-door station wagon with only front
seats and with sheet metal panels covering where the rear windows
would be. It is a vehicle that became popular to many businesses
such as plumbers, couriers, local merchants and many more and is
still used to this day as an innovative way of combining a smaller
more efficient vehicle with the utilitarian use needed for smaller
jobs that don't require the extra size. The earlier 50's Chevrolet
sedan deliveries were attractive and dependable which really
boosted the value of these for long past their creation and
continued to grow in popularity decades later to those who collect
due to the scarcity of remaining models that weren't used so much
for work that they had completely deteriorated. These work vehicles
were used for many applications and many miles which limited the
number of survivors compared to your standard sedan used for
families.
This meticulously redone 1954 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery is finished
in Chip Foose Champagne Jade paint over a Beige and Green
professionally redone interior. Under the hood you will find a
highly detailed pouwerhouse - everything is chromed out including
the Edelbrock intake, dual Edelbrock carburetors. It has headers
and BeCool aluminum radiator as well. It is powered by a 350 V8
paired with an automatic transmission and a Ford 9 inch Detroit
locker. Highlights include power windows, shaved door handles with
door poppers, American Racing Wheels, Mickey Thompson tires, Air
Ride suspension, rack and pinion steering, 6 way power bench seat,
fuel cell. The car has Vintage Air AC but has never been charged
up.
According to the owner, this sweet ride spent 5 years in a
professional restoration shop - only 300 miles since restoration -
and the quality of work truly shows. This vehicle is ready for its
next owner and will be a great vehicle to take to car shows, your
special occasions or anything in between!
